The best cleaning program depends on the condition of your carpets, the type of wear and tear your carpets experience, and your budget. These are all factors we can evaluate during a free onsite quote.
No. While we can provide an estimate based on square-footage, we cannot offer an accurate quote without inspecting your carpets and discussing your options. We are always happy to provide such an inspection at no charge.
Yes. Our inspections and quotes are always free. In addition, there are many services that can be added to certain cleaning programs without extra charge. We also post special offers on our Facebook page.
At BowTie we prefer to move furniture when possible or practical. Homeowners are responsible for handling small belongings, delicate items, and valuable items.
We use the “hot water extraction” method for cleaning. (210°F- 230°F). Cleaning agents and hot water are introduced and simultaneously extracted during the cleaning process. The equipment is parked outside. Cleaning tools and hoses come inside.
In the shampooing process, the carpet is scrubbed with a rotating brush(s) creating a shampoo and dirt slurry. The slurry is then vacuumed. At BowTie, we simultaneously loosen and remove contaminants using a spray and extraction process.
Hot water extraction is “steamy”. It is often confused with steam cleaning. Steam cleaning is rare and requires much hotter water which puts your carpet at risk of damage and can also set in stubborn stains.

Typical drying time is 8 - 24 hours depending on humidity and ventilation. When humidity is high, using fans can accelerate drying time.
Our deep carpet cleaning process requires approximately 25-minutes per room when empty. As room contents increase, so does the time need to clean around them.
While vinegar can be considered a cleaning agent, it is more useful as a rinsing agent used after other (more effective) cleaning compounds. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant, the smell of which disappears upon drying.
